Which one should I choose, Single vision or Progressive?: Take a close look at your prescription from the Optometrist. If you don’t have Addition (ADD), please choose Single vision. If you have Addition (ADD), please choose Progressive.
Single Vision: Single Vision lenses are the standard eyeglass prescription. These glasses are for one field of vision across the entire lens. Correct one field of vision (near, intermediate, or distance).
Progressive: Progressive lenses correct near, intermediate, and distance in one lens. In a progressive lens, the shape of the corrected part of the lens is approximately that of a funnel or mushroom. The top portion is used for distance vision, the middle portion (corridor) for mid-range vision, and the bottom portion for the near-vision or reading.
Non-prescription: Non-prescription lenses offer protection and style with no vision correction.

If you’ve already got a pair of glasses that fit, you can measure from screw to screw. This complete measurement would be your ideal frame width.

But remember, all glasses are different, so it’s just a general ballpark to have in mind.

Other useful measurements

Temple (arm) length

The temple should fit evenly and horizontally along the side of your head and rest comfortably on your ear.

Bridge width

The bridge should sit nicely above your nose. For close-set eyes, the ideal length is shorter, while for wide-set eyes, it will be longer.
